Everything I Wore in Key West – Vacation Style Guide

If you’ve been following along for any amount of time you know we absolutely love the Keys and visit as much as we can. Right now, with this transitional spring weather I knew I had to pack pieces that were not only cute but also light and breezy for those warm island days (and nights). Here’s a little peek into what I wore, plus a few tips if Key West is on your bucket list too!

During the day, my go-to looks were all about comfort with a pop of fun. Think flowy sundresses, comfy sandals, and oversized sunnies.

  1. Palm Printed Sundress – Nothing says Key West like a sundress dress, especially one with a palm tree print! This one was perfect for strolling around Duval Street and snapping pics against pastel-colored backgrounds.
  2. Mini & Statement Sandals – Bold prints are always travel staple for me. I loved how this one works perfectly for day or night.
  3. Swimsuit & Cover-Up – Obviously, pool or beach days call for fun swimsuits! I’m all about bold patterns and paired mine with these Amazon finds for those lounge chair moments.

Key West nights are all about al fresco dining and live music, so I kept evening outfits stylish yet effortless.

  1. Maxi Dress with a Twist – A fun red dress that flowed beautifully in the island breeze—bonus points for being comfy and looking like a $200+ version of this dress for way less!
  2. High-Waisted Pants & Matching Top Easy, breezy, and great for strolling along the beach. I paired mine with some statement sandals to elevate the look but still stay super comfortable.

These swim favorites are officially going into my summer rotation, and you’ll definitely see me wearing these looks again. Here’s what’s on repeat:

  1. Caftans (easy, breezy, and beach-ready).
  2. Bold crochet pieces—a summer classic that works for every setting.
  3. Button-ups that I’ll be layering over swimsuits or summer tanks nonstop.
  4. Statement patterns on cover-ups (tropical florals, vibrant stripes—yes to all of it).

Accessories make the outfit, right? A few key pieces I couldn’t have survived Key West without were my woven beach tote, oversized sunglasses, a straw hat, and neutral-colored slides. Totally elevated every look while keeping it practical!

Vacay outfits that mix effortless style and comfort? Yes, please! Whether you’re lounging by the pool, strolling through charming Old Town, or heading out for cocktails in the evening, Key West calls for wardrobe choices that turn heads AND keep you cool. If you’re headed to the Keys (or honestly anywhere warm), think light, breathable fabrics, versatile accessories, and pops of personality to turn your looks into a tropical dream.
