Explore the City in 48 Hours – The Ultimate Guide to a Perfect Weekend in NYC

New York City is one of my favorite places to visit. The energy, the food, the sights – it’s all so exhilarating. This is such a special place for us because we got engaged in NYC and having Bo there with us made it even sweeter. Here’s everything we fit into our 48 hours in NYC.

We started our trip by checking into the legendary Plaza Hotel, where we embarked on the ultimate Home Alone adventure. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay extra memorable for both us and Bo. Starting the day right, we indulged in Sarahbeth’s famous pancakes and omelets at breakfast. Then, we hopped on a horse and buggy ride in Central Park, followed by a boat ride and snacks by the water.

For lunch, we couldn’t resist a visit to Serendipity 3. And let me tell you, their frozen hot chocolate lived up to the hype! Energized and ready for more, we explored various shops while Bo soaked up the city’s vibrant atmosphere. As a huge baseball fan, we made our way to Yankee Stadium for an unforgettable game. The perfect ending to our exciting day was at Le Coucou, where we enjoyed drinks and amazing desserts.

Day two started with breakfast at La Grande Boucherie. Fueled up and ready to explore, we embarked on a tour of the newly opened Summit One Vanderbilt skyscraper. Its breathtaking views left us in awe. For lunch, we stopped at Grand Banks, where we dined on fresh seafood while taking in stunning cityscape panoramas. We also made stops at toy stores like FAO Schwarz and Lego, making childhood dreams come true.

At noon, we set sail on a cruise to the Statue of Liberty. We also enjoyed some sweet fun at the Museum of Ice Cream and Sloomoo, truly immersing ourselves in happiness. The Polo Bar stole the show for dinner, with its chic ambiance and mouthwatering cuisine. And of course, no trip to NYC is complete without a glimpse of Times Square at night — I don’t care how many times I’ve been to the city, Times Square at night is always a favorite.

Our whirlwind two-day trip to NYC was an absolute blast. We managed to fit in so much! There’s truly something incredibly special about this city, everywhere you turn there are endless attractions, landmarks, entertainment, history, culture – it just goes on and on. We feel so lucky to have had the amazing experience of visiting this incredible place with Bo. Whether you plan on packing as much as we did into 48 hours or taking a leisurely stroll through Central Park I hope this itinerary helps you plan your perfect weekend in NYC.

Our Nashville Itinerary: Every Outfit I Wore on Our Trip

Last year, my brother hatched a plan to propose to his girlfriend Kassie on her birthday in Nashville. As soon as he told me, I was thrilled and immediately started putting together an itinerary that would make their engagement trip truly unforgettable. We covered all the bases during our stay – from brunch to bars, shopping to sightseeing, we did it all in style. And speaking of style, I also had a ball planning out all of my outfits for the trip. So if you’re looking for some inspiration for your next visit to Nashville, read on because I’m excited to share our full itinerary and all of the looks that LITERALLY made it happen.

Day 1 – We arrived in town and set up for Kassie’s engagement party. After the party, we hopped into a White Limozeen (on the rooftop of the Graduate Hotel) for drinks and pictures before heading to Jeff Ruby’s for a celebratory dinner. Afterwards, we explored downtown Nashville, hitting up honky-tonks like Aldeans, Ol Red, Luke Bryan’s, and Redneck Rivera.

Day 2 – We started the day with brunch at Hampton Social, where we toasted the newly engaged couple with guitar shots. Next up was a 2-hour party bus tour of downtown Nashville, where we visited iconic Nashville hotspots like Tootsies, Casa Rosa, and Pushing Daisies. Afterward, we headed home to change, before making our way to Twelve Thirty Club for apps and dinner before exploring more bars on Broadway.

Day 3 – We started the day with delicious donuts from 5 Daughters Bakery before hitting up some of the city’s best shopping, like Stoney Clover, Love Shack Fancy, and Finnleys. For an early lunch, we enjoyed tacos at Bartaco before exploring The Gulch and stopping at Rustler Hat Co. Later that evening, we enjoyed happy hour at LA Jackson with stunning rooftop views and then headed to Bourbon Steak for dinner. We ended the night at the Russel Dickerson concert, which was a blast… he’s such a fun performer.

Day 4 – We started the day with breakfast at Milk & Honey before treating ourselves to a Lip Lab experience. Next, we explored some of Nashville’s most famous landmarks before stopping for lunch at Stateside Kitchen. We took a tour of the Ryman and celebrity homes before enjoying dinner at Casa Rosa and hitting up more bars on Broadway.

Day 5 – On our final day, we had breakfast at Monell’s before doing some last-minute shopping at Vici and Blush Boutique. We enjoyed a late lunch at Roberts Western World before heading to the airport for our return flight.

This trip was jammed packed with iconic Nashville experiences, and our itinerary was the perfect mix of sightseeing, shopping, and celebrating. I loved exploring all the hotspots in Nashville and trying amazing food at local restaurants. As for my favorite outfit, it’s hard to choose just one. I already can’t wait to go back!

Everything I Packed for a Weekend in Key West, Florida

Florida’s Key West is a beautiful place to visit for a relaxing weekend getaway, we just got back from our anniversary trip. It was a much-needed break from reality, filled with sunshine, sea salt, and colorful buildings. Of course, I had to dress the part! But, packing for a weekend in a beautiful destination can be quite overwhelming, especially when you are not sure what to wear. I have been fortunate enough to visit Key West several times, and I have learned a thing or two about what to pack. So I’m sharing everything I packed for a weekend in Key West, focusing on the essential items that will make your vacation perfect.

When packing for a weekend in Key West, you absolutely can’t forget about your swimwear. You’ll be spending hours lounging on the beach, taking dips in the ocean, and sipping on piña coladas, so you’ll need plenty of options to choose from. Personally, I prefer colorful and unique swimwear that guarantees to make a statement. I mean, life’s too short to wear boring clothes, right? A bold bikini or a playful one-piece can go a long way in elevating your seaside style. And let’s not forget about fun swim accessories – a colorful beach bag or sunhat can add that extra oomph to your beach day look.

There’s something so freeing about slipping into a fun and colorful printed dress, isn’t there? From bold florals to playful prints, each dress helped me soak up the sunshine and ocean breeze with ease. And now that I’m back home, I can’t wait to style them all summer long. I might pair one with sandals for a casual weekend barbecue, or dress it up with wedges and statement jewelry for a night out with friends. That’s the beauty of a statement dress – it can be dressed up or down depending on your mood and occasion.

Flip-flops are a must-have for those lazy days spent sunbathing on the sand or strolling along the water’s edge. But don’t forget to bring a comfortable pair of shoes for when you’re out and about exploring the city. You never know what treasures you’ll stumble upon as you wander through the streets and alleys of the island. And if you’re planning to take on some more strenuous activities, like hiking or running, don’t leave your sneakers behind. You’ll want to be prepared to tackle whatever adventures come your way in Key West, where there’s always something new to discover.

When you’re on vacation in Key West, there’s truly so much to do in the evening hours. From strolling along Duval Street to catching a live music show at a local venue, there’s never a dull moment. And of course, you want to look your best while enjoying all the excitement. Luckily, Key West has a laidback vibe that allows for comfy yet stylish nighttime outfits. Think flowy maxi dresses paired with sandals or jumpsuits that can be dressed up or down. Plus, with the warm weather, you won’t have to worry about bundling up in layers. So go ahead and have some fun and show off your fashion sense while you’re at it!

Now that you’re all packed for your tropical getaway, don’t forget to accessorize with some statement jewelry and a pair of chic sunglasses to complete your vacay look. Go ahead and take some risks, try something new, and don’t forget to have fun! Your tropical vacation awaits!
